MyHappyGenes® Affiliate Program

Terms & Conditions

Please read these terms carefully before applying to or participating in the MyHappyGenes® Affiliate Program. By submitting an application or using your affiliate link, you agree to be bound by these terms.

1. Program Overview

The MyHappyGenes® Affiliate Program allows approved individuals and content creators to earn commissions by referring customers to MyHappyGenes® products through a unique tracking link. This program is managed through AffiliateWP and administered by MyHappyGenes® (referred to throughout as “MHG,” “we,” or “us”).

2. Eligibility and Approval

Participation in the affiliate program is by application only. Submitting an application does not guarantee approval. We reserve the right to approve or decline any application at our sole discretion, without obligation to provide a reason.


To be eligible, you must:

  • Be at least 18 years of age
  • Have an active platform — blog, podcast, YouTube channel, social media presence, email newsletter, or similar — with an engaged audience
  • Create content that aligns with health, wellness, nutrition, biohacking, longevity, personalized medicine, or related topics
  • Agree to and comply with all terms set forth in this document

Note: Licensed healthcare practitioners and certified health coaches interested in referring patients or clients should inquire about our separate Practitioner Program, which has different terms and commission structures. Email us at [email protected] for details.

3. Affiliate Links and Tracking

Upon approval, you will receive a unique affiliate tracking link through your AffiliateWP dashboard. You are responsible for using this link correctly in all promotions.


  • Commissions are tracked via a 120-day cookie window from the date of a visitor’s first click on your affiliate link
  • Commissions are earned on qualifying purchases made within that window
  • MHG is not responsible for lost commissions due to a visitor’s browser settings, ad blockers, or failure to use your affiliate link correctly
  • Attempting to manipulate, reverse-engineer, or circumvent the tracking system will result in immediate termination and forfeiture of all pending commissions

4. Commission and Payment

Commission rate: 15% of the qualifying purchase amount, excluding taxes and shipping.


Payment schedule: Commissions are paid on a monthly basis for the prior month’s confirmed earnings, on or around [date — e.g., the 15th of each month].


Payment method: PayPal or Stripe. You are responsible for providing accurate payment information and for any fees charged by your payment provider.


Minimum payout threshold: Earnings below this threshold will roll over to the following month.


Commission confirmation: Commissions are held for [e.g., 30 days] to allow for the refund window before being confirmed and paid. Commissions on returned or refunded orders will be reversed.


Taxes: You are solely responsible for reporting and paying any taxes on commissions earned. MHG will issue a 1099 form where required by law.

5. Prohibited Conduct — Please Read Carefully

This section is the most important part of these terms. Violations may result in immediate termination and forfeiture of all pending commissions.

5a. No Medical Claims

You may not make medical claims of any kind. This includes stating or implying that any MHG product or report can diagnose, treat, cure, or prevent any disease or medical condition. The following types of statements are strictly prohibited:

  • “This test will tell you if you’re going to get cancer”
  • “MHG cured my autoimmune disease”
  • “This kit diagnosed my depression”
  • “MyHappyGenes® treats [any condition]”
  • Any variation of the above, however phrased

5b. No Fear-Based Language

MHG’s brand is built on empowerment and hope. Promoting our products by frightening people about their genetic risk is off-brand and prohibited. Do not use language that implies a person’s genes doom them to disease or poor health outcomes.

5c. No Results Guarantees

Do not imply that all users will experience the same health outcomes or benefits from MHG products or reports.

5d. No Misrepresentation of MHG

Common misrepresentations to avoid:

  • Describing MHG as an ancestry testing service
  • Implying MHG provides a medical diagnosis
  • Claiming MHG tests more or fewer genes than it actually does
  • Comparing MHG to competitors in ways that are inaccurate or misleading

5e. No Harmful or Inappropriate Content

You may not create content that:

  • Is false, misleading, or deceptive in any way
  • Violates any applicable law or regulation
  • Targets or is directed at children under 18
  • Is sexually explicit, hateful, discriminatory, or inflammatory
  • Disparages MHG, Dr. J Ann Dunn, or any other brand or individual

6. FTC Disclosure Requirements

The Federal Trade Commission (FTC) requires that you clearly disclose your affiliate relationship with MHG whenever you promote our products. This is not optional — it is a legal requirement.


You must include a clear, conspicuous disclosure any time you share your affiliate link or promote MHG products, including but not limited to:

  • Blog posts and articles
  • Social media posts, stories, and videos
  • Podcasts and YouTube videos
  • Email newsletters

Acceptable disclosure language: “This post contains affiliate links. I may earn a commission if you purchase through my link, at no extra cost to you.” or any similarly clear statement.


Placing disclosure language where it is unlikely to be seen — buried in a footer, hidden behind a “more” button, or appearing after the affiliate link — does not meet this requirement. Non-compliance with FTC disclosure rules is grounds for immediate termination from the program.

7. Paid Advertising

You may not run paid advertising — including but not limited to Google Ads, Facebook Ads, Instagram Ads, or any other paid placement — using your affiliate link without prior written approval from MHG.

Additionally, you may not:


  • Bid on the keyword “MyHappyGenes” or any variation of our brand name in paid search advertising
  • Run ads that impersonate MHG or create confusion about the source of the ad
  • Use MHG’s name, logo, or imagery in any paid placement without prior written approval

8. Brand and Trademark Usage

You are granted a limited, non-exclusive, revocable license to use the MHG name, logo, and approved creative assets solely for the purpose of promoting the affiliate program in compliance with these terms.

You may not:

  • Alter, modify, or create derivative versions of the MHG logo or brand assets
  • Use the MHG name or logo in any way that implies endorsement beyond the affiliate relationship
  • Register any domain name, social media handle, or business name that incorporates “MyHappyGenes” or any confusingly similar variation
  • Use MHG’s brand assets in any context that violates these terms or reflects negatively on MHG

9. Program Modifications and Termination

By MHG: We reserve the right to modify commission rates, payment terms, cookie windows, or any other aspect of this program at any time, with reasonable notice provided to active affiliates. We also reserve the right to terminate any affiliate’s participation at any time, for any reason, including but not limited to violation of these terms, inactivity, or changes in program strategy.

By you: You may withdraw from the program at any time by notifying us at [email protected]. Any confirmed commissions earned prior to withdrawal will be paid on the next regular payment date.

Effect of termination: Upon termination for any reason, your affiliate link will be deactivated and your dashboard access removed. Commissions on purchases made after deactivation will not be earned. Commissions held pending the refund window at the time of termination for cause (i.e., violation of these terms) will be forfeited.

10. Relationship of Parties

You are an independent contractor, not an employee, agent, partner, or legal representative of MHG. You have no authority to make any representation, warranty, or commitment on behalf of MHG. You are solely responsible for your own content, taxes, and compliance with applicable laws.

11. Limitation of Liability

MHG’s total liability to you under this agreement shall not exceed the total commissions paid to you in the three months preceding the claim. MHG is not liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from your participation in the affiliate program.

12. Governing Law

These terms are governed by the laws of the State of [State], without regard to conflict of law principles.
